Quick Release Camera Strap?

Okay, this is a very simple yet complex issue I have been having...

I got a hand grip wrist strap for Christmas and just bought a battery grip... The hand grip now doesn't fit. The bottom contraption is far too large (as long as the battery grip).

So, my question for you guys is... What do you use? I found $15 'fake' leather grips with quick release but they have mixed reviews. I also found some on eBay but I don't like using eBay. Wondering if there is any manufacturer out there that has good reviews?

Wrist / hand straps mean I've dedicating one hand to it and the camera, unless I'm willing to set it down somewhere, which I'm not.

That said, I prefer shoulder straps. They allow me to have both hands free when I need both hands for something, anything.
