My cousin has a nikon D50 with a flash...I'm curious if that flash would fit on a Canon 40D.

different camera's, and even makes, i know...but any chances the flash mounts are the same?

If it is a non-dedicated flash with just one contact for triggering than it will work fine.
If it Is a Nikon or other brand nikon dedicated flash, than no it wont work.

It won't work in Ettl but should fire manually and work in auto if it has that function.

hmm. idk what it is. i've only seen it once a year ago. haha. im borrowing all of his gear this weekend plus a 40D from school and was just curious if the flash would work on the 40d too. thanks for the quick reply.
