I just got a job to take pictures for the local, 3/8 mile, asphalt race track. I have helped my brother take pictures for the dirt track a couple times but am still new at race pictures. Does anyone know what equipment might be needed? Right now I have a canon XT with a 50mm 1.8 lens. I am able to borrow a flash and mono pod if needed.
Also does anyone know of ways to sell the pictures? As of now I am going to go around the pit before every race to talk to the drivers, have a website set up to where people can see the photo's and e-mail me what photo's they want, and have a table set up with my laptop, show people pictures and have order forms they can fill out and give me. Does anyone know any other ways or things to do different?
