Radio Trigger Using Speedlite 420EX

OK So I just bought a basic radio trigger (40 bucks - Amazon Amazon.com: StudioHut 4 channel Wireless Radio Hot Shoe Flash Trigger Kit for Canon EOS, Nikon, Olympus & Pentax Flashes with 2 Receivers: Camera & Photo) for my speedlite 430exII, I also have a 420EX. I know that the 430exII has manual settings since I will be using the radio trigger to trigger the unit, but since the 420EX does not have manual settings, CAN you still use it with a radio trigger hooked up to another speedlite? I am trying to use both speedlite going wireless...Was hoping someone has used a radio trigger with a speedlite 420EX
