Railroad Lily

While I had things partially set up, I switched over to try a low key of the Lily. Biggest issue I had was with my lighting, but I was tired and didn't feel like changing everything. To me it seems to be overpowering the scene.

LOL. Yeah, I'm tired, really tired. We kept the granddaughter today. She can wear you out fast.

The intent was to use side lighting to emphasis texture, shape and shadow, but the light was to soft, and I should have used a grid.

Title edit - received some feedback on this one last night on social media, on how a grandmother used to refer to these as "Railroad Lilies" because they grew along the railroad tracks near her home. I'd struggled on what to call this until I heard her story and then it clicked.

Afraid I have to agree with you, the composition is just to unbalanced otherwise. Like this?????

I had tried it earlier but wasn't happy with it. Tried another edit here with Silver Efex, with a film emulation, but still lean toward the color, as the "color" is actually a part of the composition. The randomness of the other plant I used doesn't form any type of repetitive pattern other than the stems. Anyhow in B&W
