Rainy day at the market

My first post on this forum. Both pictures were taken during a heavy shower on the Waterlooplein market in Amsterdam. I just love how differently people act, when the rain poors down. Comments are welcome!

I like them both. They are well composed, have a nice tonal range and tell a story. Nicely captured.

The first is good as is. The second I think needs to be more about the women and their expressions, so I would crop the left quite a bit and the bottom a little to make them larger in the frame.

@KenC: As in a 1x1 frame? Personally, I quite like the line from the lower left corner that leads towards the subjects. I'll try it out though...

I think that's about what I had in mind; I seem to be seeing square crops lately. I see what you mean about the leading line. It probably depends on how large this is printed/viewed - if very large, the women's faces will be clear, if smaller, some cropping might be better - you never know until you try it.
