Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
These photos date back to the first days I had my camera (March 1, 2010) to the last shoot I went on. I know that the horizon is crooked on a few shots, but those were from the first week of owning my camera. The last one is slightly OOF and I know this, that butterfly was up and down and possibly on drugs. So I took it as quick as I could and it looked in focus on my camera so I didn't take another. These are mainly landscapes with a little macro thrown in. Both macro shots were not taken with a specialized macro lens. They were taken with a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 USM. As always C+C is welcome.

This was my first ever attempt at an HDR photo. The gazebo was backlit by the sun as you can see, thus the reason the gazebo and foreground is a bit darker.

The first one is the HDR. It is only 3 exposures put together. I wanted to keep the picture very natural looking instead of the high contrast look many HDR fans adore.

All very nice but the bird location in the frame of #6 makes it not so great. I would not say it is a dud, but not so great.

Yeah I agree, I wasn't even going for the seagull. It just had the straightest horizon out of most of them. There are better "subjects" in that same set, but most have a horizon line worse than this one. So I just decided to omit them from this post.

#7 is very nice. Might want work on the B&W conversion a bit, bumping the contrast might help.

The rest are landscapes and flowers (not my cup of tea)

#7 is probably my favorite too. It is from my home town and ultimately just makes me happy when I see it. Funny thing is, I ran all the images through CS5 for some simple auto adjusting except for #7.

Right now I am just freelancing taking pictures of anything I find interesting enough to capture. I have a lot of sports (lacrosse) photography I want to upload to get a feel of what I can improve. Sports right now is probably the most difficult for me to capture. Then again I am using the extremely soft, extremely slow Canon 75-300 f/4-5.6.

Thank you very much

I need to look into how to do that. It would make at least 50 more shots presentable

As you have Canon, among the software provided with the camera there is what is needed to do that. On Mac, it is called Digital Photo Professional, and there is a crop/straight tool.

I never knew that program had that capability. Learn something new everyday
