I Love Birds of Prey, and whilst I'd love to capture them in the wild, I don't have time at the moment to do that so I have to rely on shows for my fix. What that does, though, is give great opportunity for portraiture...here's a few of my BoP portraits from a couple of days out with the kids this weekend...

Hope you like them, and any constructive critique is obviously welcome as always. :)

Stunning portraits :) All of the images are fantastic. If I had anything to add it would be that I do like the images with the darker backgrounds more than number 3 but only in comparison and probably just a personal taste.

Thanks. Me too...at this stage they were in a tent, and most I could get against the green canvas. George the Long Eared Owl was an awkward bugger and wouldn't look my way...had to go to him, which ruined the background. :)

Cheers

Really nice Raptor portraits!

Awesome. Beautiful sharp images. I would love to attend one of the raptures show and snap a couple shots. Are these raptures have tags on their legs that's why you did the head shots?

Stunning set especially the owl, thanks for sharing.

Well, they were flying them. Yes, they have jesses on their legs, and are usually stood on "hoops" in the ground, so less than photogenic. I have flying shots of these but they are nowhere near as good! :)

Thank you. :)
