I've been thinking about starting to shoot raw+JPEG so I can keep the raw files I need, but just the jpegs of everything else.
My camera gives me the option of raw+JPEG or Raw+tiff but I guess I don't really understand the difference.
Anyone willing to enlighten me?
I keep the RAW (TIFF)for my good work and trash the rest when I'm done. (I always keep my memory cards with JPEGS and RAW files as shot.)
RAW lets you work a file to the fullest. I shoot lots of night photos. Night shooting is hard and I need all the help I can get with the PP. If these were JPEG's I will have have lost of some the nuances and density that RAW has.
Now, if your a snapshot shooter that does little PP...then it does not matter. But for me it is RAW+. I like the JPEG's so I can sort easy on the computer.
