lol .. I am not such a Mac addict... although my apartment is not Mac-free.

My main workstation is a pretty nice self-assembled PC though. And it works nicely with WinXP. and i might also install Linux again.

Gotta do that with win2kprosp2. Only sp4 recognises large drives so half of this one sits around doing nothing. I'm too lazy to add it as a slave.

I don't run any sp higher than sp3 in my win2kpro world because sp4 has issues with most of my software. My large drives read fine with sp3.

OK, here we go, 1 Tera byte later, everything seems to run smoothly.

All the photo software is up and running, just have to transfer lots of setting now and then it should be done.

yes, i could. but then again such a total re-install is a good chance for doing all the updating and getting rid of what you do not need.

very true - a re-install is a good way to clear out the crap.

But I usually start with a base load anyway , update it, and grab an image of that with all the necessary stuff on it. Then it's still a pain, but not as much of one.
