I came across a music video of a song I enjoy, and the genuine emotion you see in the artist's face completely caught me off guard. You can literally see the pain he is holding back, as explained within the context of the song.

Or possibly his father was an English meatball or cigarette? I do know that sometimes I just get so pissed off at meatballs that I just can't take it anymore.

Some of his earlier work is certainly very edgy- so much to the point that he has openly criticized himself for it. However, all of his albums so far are parts of the same story and when you really listen all of the grime and smut on the surface becomes far less relevant than what he is really saying. His creative outlet is really quite impressive.

I would check out "48" by him, it's definitely more reminiscent of more "normal" music.

Tyler has been known to use that word, as well as words like F**k because he wants to make a statement about the meaning of the words. He has previously made the point that the word itself has no power until people give it a certain meaning and connotation, so he uses it out of context to remove that power from it. He is certainly not a homophobe- his "brother" and fellow musician is gay and they work closely together quite frequently. He makes the same case with his use of the N-word as well.

There is of course also the shock value... but purposed to a lesser extent. People often forget that Tyler is in fact an artist, and while often uncomfortable or unpleasant to listen to, it is an art form which upon close inspection has a great deal of depth.
