Recent image transfer, using acrylic gel medium

@terri couple more questions, the shadow box frame has no glass do you top coat the image with a sealer, or will the gel hold up on it's own. How susceptible is it to fading from the sun? Finally, you used a canvas for the base, could you use masonite or plywood?

Hi Smoke - as with any image transfer, I used a UV protection finishing spray over the final image. Always a good idea. This particular image transfer originated from a color laser printer. It's an acrylic gel medium, very tough when it dries. The UV spray is advisable but certainly it shouldn't be placed in direct sun.

This acrylic skin could be glued to practically anything, masonite or plywood included. Just keep in mind that it's transparent, so lovely grain will show through, which can either enhance or interfere with your image. :)

I expect to see your results, mister! Post 'em right here in the Alt Techniques forum. ;)
