Recomendation for a high end 35mm P&S

Does anyone know of a compact camera with aperture priority, and manual exposure modes that are easy to use (i.e. not located three layers deep in a menu). A built in zoom in the 28 to 100mm range would be nice and autofocus is fine.

Sounds like an old Nikon FA, FE, FE2, or about a dozen other good MF 35mm SLR's. And no menu's.
