how are you getting on with the macro photography?

Have not had much time the last couple of weeks. A little something called work keeps getting in my way. I did get around to learning more about my flash....read the manual and played around with manual mode. Now I am able to get proper exposure just about every single shot once I get it dialed in. I do have somewhat latent plans to find some inanimate objects to practice on as I just don't have a convenient selection of bugs around here to deal with. Perhaps too arid for large bug populations? I do have some Afican Nile Lilies coming into bloom and thought I might try some shots with them. Maybe a focus stack of some lily flower if I can catch them on a calm day without too much wind.
