they look pretty nice. Too bad you cant see the red rock

I think the first one here (Strips of Light) is by far the best... I love the distant horizon, dramatic sky, and the sunlight illuminating only parts of the mountains... I think the composition could be improved slightly by cutting out some of the dark foreground - perhaps moving forward to the next ridge to look down into the valley bottom more... but other than that its a great shot. :thumbsup:

I think the others have good potential, but don't quite hit the spot - the exposure is slightly off on some of the shots, and I'm not sure I like the inclusion of the roads and cars... If this area is in easy reach for you, go back and keep trying different compositions and conditions

PS... did this as a critique, before it got moved to the main gallery... so please don't think I'm being unduly harsh!
