[stanton3]

Found two of these guys on a wire on my way home. Here are a few pics of them, still have at least a hundred more to go through! C&C would be great!

beautiful, it is a younger bird

Nice shots, I like the first one and the last one. In the first one, it is too bad you could not have gotten both eyes in the light - always like to see both eyes with a catchlight, if possible.

Looks like you missed the focus on the first 2, and the third, while interesting, still has that wire in it. Unfortunate but obviously unavoidable. I say all this only because on 4 you NAILED it, and therefore you should really have posted 4 and no others.

I don't know about other hawks, but red tails are certainly irksome to capture. They can see you from a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way away and generally don't like having their pictures taken. As you can see he was watching you... like a hawk.

Thank you, and I probably shouldn't have posted them, mainly did it because I thought they were interesting. I would have loved #1 to be perfect! I was able to take these from my inside my car with the window down. These two sit on a power line at the edge of a busy street so they are somewhat used to cars being there.
