Reef Aquarium Macro

I had a reef aquarium for a few years, but this summer I sold it off before our first child was born (the aquarium was taking a lot of my time!).

Here are a few macro shots I took the last day I had the tank back in June. They are all single shots taken with a Sigma 50mm f/2.8 macro (very close to 1:1) through the aquarium glass with no supplemental lighting.

Great shots. Reef tanks are gorgeous, but I just don't have the time or patience. I have 2 freshwater tanks but all I have to do to them is a partial water change every other week, and get some algae out.

That's pretty much all I had to do for the reef tank after the first 6 months or so. I found it to be easier than my freshwater planted tanks...just a lot more expensive!
