Another attempt at my self-stylized pictorialism:

I like the feel of the shot. However, to me the plant material in the foreground is distracting.

I hear ya...I currently live on a hill in-between two lakes and it would be easier to take photos if all these trees weren't blocking the view...I'll take a photo sometime to show you all what I mean...I was wish-washy on the vegetation myself. Thanks for the reply!!!

I didn't want to crop the vegetation out because I like the sky and the lake shore being in the middle of the frame but I don't want to sit there for hours attempting to clone it all out either.

Well, thank you sir! How do you feel about the reeds being a distraction in the foreground in this photo? Do you have any ideas on a crop or techniques to get rid of it?

This is a neat image. I do agree about the foreground vegetation - it is the first place my eyes went when I looked at the photo. I also feel that something needs to be done to bring out the green colour in the trees a little more. Maybe a bit of vibrance and/or clarity added - don't know just my initial reaction to the colours.

Thanks man. I will keep in mind to be wary of adding too much junk into the frame. I did like the color before as it is a fall shot, but if green is the winner than green it will be.

Another question. Since I am attempting to become a name in pictorialism, does this strike anyone as being more of a photo or a painting-like picture?

I like the picture but find the grass and plants in the water distracting. I don't know if this will help but you might consider fixing that and using this technique from Scott Kelby. Go to 41:00 or so and watch how he "clean's up" the reflection.
