I caught a special time last night when the river was calm between tides, and the setting sun was lighting the clouds with enough ooomph to create reflections in the water. As the setting sun moves slowly back north along the horizon it gets better and better. In a month or so we'll be in the prime sunset time here...

Thanks for looking.

Nice image. I find the reflection of the tree at the bottom a little distracting. I think it's a little too much detail or texture for an otherwise fairly clean shoreline on both sides. I would try cropping that and taking the powerline tower on the left side out at the same time.

The water seems a bit on the noisy side. What was your ISo and why not f:/8 or 11 and go for more time as wel as more detail in the water..

Thanks for the comments. I understand the concerns about the foreground tree but if you crop that out, you loose a lot of the perspective of the shot.

ISO was at 200. I'm still learning the 17-40's sweet spots...

Here's the same shot with a bit less blue, and a changed White Balance.
