Played around with my 50mm today, let me know what you think. IMO in #2 i could have stopped down a bit, but in a way i think it still works. Anyway, Tear em' up...

I think the first would benefit from more DoF as well. What you have is razor thin, and in the middle of the subject at that!

Agreed, I was actually using 1.8 to show my girlfriend how thin the focus gets and just happened to dig the coloring. Also, i haven't posted any shots in a good while, didn't want you all to think i gave up already!

Anyway, i was born into wedding photography, been running a business for 30 years (even tho im only 21) so random still life shots are not my forte, this is why i came to a BEGINNERS forum to get some C&C, not to be belittled! (sound familiar? HA! :lmao
