Refund?

I would too if I was busy. Like I said, I hardly do family portraits where deposit isnt really necessary. I meant to say, more than 2 MONTHS in advance.

I think we should monetize TPF, and charge consulting fees.

LMAO... I'd be SO LOST without this forum!!

My shoe is untied. What shall I do?

Oh come on! :greenpbl:

If what she is saying is true, its the law that you have to. Just like If military is deploying over sea's their leases can be broke on apartments and such.

No, it's not.

As an ex landlord in a military town I have not heard of such a law. There is, however, a military clause which can (or not) be included in a lease and it would be stupid not to include it in your lease when half the local population is military :)

Anyway, I would just refund the money. I'm not worried about the bad word-of-mouth deal from a military family, they will be miles away from your place of business, but they do get a raw deal from the defense dept as it is. Why add to it?

If $50 is going to break your business, you didn't plan it right.

They recently changed the law so that you MUST include a military clause, it is now in the soldiers and sailors relief act.

Gotcha!

Although I never had a problem including the clause in my leases. Military people were no worse or better than the civilian kind but they were a lot easier to collect from in case of need. They just can't move without a forwarding address, lol.

Give it back, but grip it really tight and make her tug for it. jj.
