Remote for Nikon D600

I have a D600 and am looking into getting a remote release. Would you purchase a wired or infrared device.??? Any suggestions would be appreciated.!!

Wired or IR?........ Get both. Each has advantages and disadvantages.

how will you be using it?

I use my flash triggers as a radio remote if I need it (mainly studio or portrait work)

but if I were to be shooting long-exposure landscapes, i'd prefer a programmable wired remote.
