You don't live in NoVA, do you OP?
I seriously hope that just because you used his camera, he doesn't think the images produced with it are some how rightfully his. That's just messed up. If I borrow a paint brush and produce a masterpiece on canvas with it, the owner of the brush can't claim the work to be his.
No, I'm in EuropeYou don't live in NoVA, do you OP?

The good news is this is a good learning experience but there's all kinds of fail from the U.S. viewpoint but since you're in Europe, things may be diferent. However, first fail was renting a studio for a month before taking the studio for a test run. If you had rented for a one time shoot, you can move on, lesson learned. But now you're going to have to be submissive to his ways or stand up and tell him something fishy is going on. Secondly, why did you borrow his camera? You can use your own and rent his triggers or invest in your own. If this was only your second time in a studio, the last thing you should worry about is shooting with a pro camera. Learn how to use the studio with the equipment you have. Lastly, if you're renting for a month, there could be an expectation of doing more cleaning than a one time renter.
I'm not trying to beat you up. Just trying to get more info. There's a whole back story to this that we didn't get. I use StudioShare pretty often when I travel. Clean-up and closing procedures are something I discuss prior to renting.
Why? Why not simply talk to the person and get it sorted out?Tell a little white lie until you're out of there...tell the guy your model was uncomfortable with him there watching. And then before he comes back, if he asks for the pics, tell him the memory card and all your equipment is already put away in your car or wherever.
