Resolving power: Nikon 200-500 on D850

Another in my totally unscientific series of "How does this compare..." tests. This is a 100% crop an image take with the Nikon 200-500 at 500mm and f7.1 on the D850. Gotta say... I'm pretty damn impressed! For a dirt-cheap super-telephoto it performs amazingly well, and couple with the 46mp of the D850... Damn! For reference, I was about 25' from Mr. Twitter-Beak.

it's hard to explain. You might want to send me the camera and lens for me to figure it out in its' entirety. It might take me a while, so you should look forward to getting yourself a second copy of each in the mean time ...
