Went for a walk in one of my favorite parks the other night. Didn't expect to see much, but it was in the 50's for the first time in months. I'm really trying to get used to the heavier gear. Getting on target and focused as fast as possible.....While walking around one of the ponds, there was a crow out on the ice. A hawk flew out of the woods, right over my head, straight for the crow. He stole what looks like a fish. Wish I would have got more of the battle, but I was shocked for a few seconds. This never happens to me.
When the hawk had enough it flew right back at me and landed in a tree behind me. Got a couple decent shots and the last is the best I could do through the branches. Believe this is a Cooper's hawk.
