Rings

I can barely see the rings. Any explanation? Is my camera damaged?

I can see them.... lots of concentric rings centered in the frame. Did you do any post-processing or is this SOOC?

BTW, next time, use some bull-nose tiles.

I set the shutter super slow about 30 second and take a shot in a dark room with little light. Just for fun. Hopefully I didn't damage my camera.

No, your camera isn't damaged. It's an optical aberration.

I'm guessing those rings are caused by the the lens cement used to join some of the internal lens elements. Particularly if the lens used was a kit lens.

It is interesting you said that. I use a wide angle lens 18-55mm. When I use a telephoto lens, that is 55-250mm, I don't see concentric rings.

SOOC = Straight Out Of Camera (no computer processing).

Bull-nose tiles have a curved, finished edge instead of the flat, unfinished edge you installed.

Yeah, I see them now. I didn't zoom in far enough previously.

Take off the UV filter and they'll go away.

Thanks guys. Turns out to be a lens filter causing these rings. That would be intriguing photograph with concentric rings.

Been there, done that. That discovery is exactly why I stopped using them altogether in front of my glass.
