Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm looking to start doing some photo shoots. What basic equipment will i need to conduct my first shoot? (lighting, back drops, etc.)

What look are you thinking of? Natural light is always good. Any large windows? Get a bounce board or reflector and use a big window as your key. Other than that, it needs to be your vision; lighting, posing, mood, etc.
Experiment.

1) Get an apartment.
2) Get and maintain a girlfriend
3) Clean up one area of apartment
4) Light said area with 3 to 6 electronic flash units
5) Have girlfriend pose provocatively
6) Mash shutter button repeatedly while yelling "Yes! Yes! Work it baby, work it!"
7) Enjoy the fruits of your artistic collaboration!

A camera is the biggest necessity. Then knowledge with the camera. Once you acquire the knowledge with the camera you'll know what you need for any given shoot.
You can start with that education here: Digital Photography Tips and Tutorials

1. check, 2 check lol

Well, please let us know when you've made it to steps 5,6,and 7!!! Those are the most fun!

I know this clip says, "Austin's Pad,London" at the start...but this could be "ajohnson15's Pad,Brooklyn NY" just as easily!

I wish there was a love button!

You forgot "post provocatively posed photos here for critique. "

Nope. I sure wouldn't be buying either of those.

Get a camera, lens, and flash and learn to use them. You can do a whole lot without studio lighting, and in the meantime, you'll begin to realize your own interests and style and discover what equipment supports that.

Don't worry about it. Just go and take some photos in the shade outside. Use a flash on your camera and do it all in manual mode. You don't need studio lights, backdrops, etc to do a photoshoot.

just had to jump in and laugh!!!
