Found this guy for the first time today chasing around the neighborhood birds. I have more than this if youd like to see..but here are just a few:

Nice shots, that is a beautiful bird. I love that he is standing on the Christmas lights. It must be that time of year!

Indeed it is. I love that the birds around here aren't that scared of humans..otherwise, I would have played hell trying to get this close with an 80-200 without a TC. Only the bottom one is a crop.

Liked them all; desired if the blue in the last image was not that intense (even though i am mad about blue )

I would have rather had the background a little less vibrant as well..but that's how it came out of the camera.

Awesome pictures! Love #2, that is a proud looking bird! Prey bird are so much fun to photograph, when they stand still like yours it makes it even better!

We have a lilac bush a few neighbors up from my home and now that it's lost all of its leaves, the tiny sparrows and cardinals love to lounge around in it eating the berries. This draws our new predator here. He was so interested in the birds, he let me get within three or four yards of him. Completely preoccupied with breakfast.
