Same Place 2 Differnt Ways I See It

I pass the back side of this building when I go run and I went back and shot it. I like the way the pictures came out. Framed one and grave it to my boss at work he hung it up at the bank so I thought that was cool. CC and which do you like better and why and if you don't like either why?? Picture 1 prolly little over kill on the saturation but ive seen it in print and its not a pink mess or anything like that. 2 is blown out at top where light is coming in that happened in processing I like that look im one of those who jumped on that band wagon fad. Would like to hear thoughts and CC Thanks in advance Jewels

I really like both of these shots. Something about them just captures my attention and keeps it. However I am not loving the focus on the first. Also something about the treatment seems a bit on the harsh side.

I like #1 better....it has a stronger composition to me. The chain link fencing in the second shot is not that helpful. In shot #1, it **is** a bit over-the-top, but that's coming off as a "look", to me at least. I like the external plumbing and electrical conduit on #1... that shot says "OLD buildings" quite well, without a sign that says "old buildings", ya know??? With all the conduit and poles and metal pipe fixtures, #1 has many very strong lines, and the entire composition has very strong, simple, direct LINES in it....all over the frame, there are strong lines...fourteen of them, at least, depending on how one counts...the second shot is much,much weaker.

Thank you for the CC guys. Derrel I agree I like the 1 shot better. I was going for a "look" of old buildings and I think I got that, agreed over the top a bit. I must admit I'm somewhat of an over the top type of person.

Yes 2 the fence is not helping. I'm not sure if I thought it would help take the viewers eye down into the stairwell. Or I just wanted that veritcal angel and I couldn't avoid not getting the fence in the shot. Thanks again for the CC.
