I just purchased a SanDisk 8 GB Extreme 3 CF card from Adorama...$99 minus a $40 mail in rebate...not bad for $60 and free shipping...I'm so excited, I'm getting tired of swapping out my 1 gig cards.

sounds like a good deal. make sure its not a "fake" card before using it for business / important shots though...

but that shouldn't be too much of a problem with Adorama I guess. but better be safe than loosing 8GB of photo's

I just figured out whats going on with ebay...and these cards. A lot of them are being sold on ebay with the UPC code cut "nicely removed". Guys are buying them from places that are offering this deal, then sending in for the rebate, then reselling them on ebay for more than what they paid for.

Costco recently had a sale on Ultra II's.

We got a 4GB CompactFlash for a digital photo frame for $40! But it's sounds like you got a better deal.

Be careful for the memory card failing or whatever. Losing photos on a 1GB is better than losing on a whole 8GB. But that rarely happens so don't be too worried.
