Howdy all, First post. (exciting stuff)

Just looking for some insight from those who hopefully have prospective experience with both Canon/Nikon Full frame Cameras.

Have been taking photos approximately four years, and as my photography has evolved I've focused primarily on landscape.

Now with an outdated 40d, and with a looming trip to Italy, I feel compelled to upgrade.

In essence, I want better (professional) quality images that are very printable.

I'm willing to jump-ship, personally I think Canon is neglecting ultra-wide proponents and I find the Nikon 14-24 strangely arousing.

So, what I'm really looking for is opinions and experiences with Canon 16-35/17ts-e/14 vs the Nikon 14-24 and ultimately which system is more appealing for landscape photography

I'm not a fan of UWA lenses for landscape shots, but if you have to pick one, you can't get better than the 14-24. Nikon and Canon are pretty much on par lens for lens, but I think that is one lens that puts Nikon way out in front.
