I needed a touch more speed as still some motion blur, but ISO was already creeping up higher than I wanted so I took my chances.

I happen to like a certain amount of motion blur, especially for take-off shots like these. Giving the subject a little movement can make the image a little more dynamic.

But of course, if you're practicing stop motion photography then you're almost there. Just saying, these shots look pretty good as is. Love your DOF and seeing those tucked up little feet!
