In a rather ordinary temple in suburban Bangkok, near the airport.
I was really tempted to convert this to B&W but the loss of the color surrounding that little solitary man was too much.
The use of vibrant color and the results under the bright sun in SEAsia makes the area unique to the eye.

I am always interested in people's reaction and when I typically get 45 or 50 views for each actual comment, I do wonder.
I've been thinking of making any submission into a poll.

I think this item would have lost a lot in B&W. I really like the colour in this, but what I like even more is the contrast between the temple decoration & the monk and the ubiquitous SEA plastic chair. I wonder how many billion of those are around that part of the world.

I can't make any suggestion for improvement. I "liked" it. I agree that a conversion would not improve it. I'm nearly always fascinated by photographs and stories of other lands. I enjoy the juxtaposition of fine decoration and the plastic chairs and a broom leaning on the window sill. I wonder what is the dark object in the lower right. I wonder what the man is reading. I wonder what else happens in this place.

I noticed the processing and brightness and what seems like overly sharpened objects - I saw the chairs before I noticed the man. I like the idea of it but even looking again my eyes are drawn to the bright colorful pattern.

I think the color tones is very nice.IMO I think this one deserve to stay in color,there is far to much beautiful art work to be anything but color.

For me the colour really makes the shot. It's good to see you've managed to retain the details in the windows, it adds to the complex pattern and both the chairs and the guy's clothes really stand out as they are quite plain.

Lots going on with this shot but it works really well
