Another shot of everyday stuff around my warehouse. This is just scrap pieces of wood we use now and then

Timor, yes I like the first one better as well. Farly straight up treatment relying on shapes, tones, and textures. The 2nd one was something I was trying out; just to see what it would look like if rendered more as a pencil sketch. I think it's interesting in it's own way. Still, like you, I am old school in my preferences with regard to b/W photography

The second picture brings up the roughness of that wood, yet the highlights are a bit harsh. That might have work if shot in softer light.

Yeah, i like the fist one better, the other seems a bit over procesed
