Holy pixels! That's just ridiculous. No one, AT ALL, ever, in history, needs 41MP in a phone. NO ONE. This is a ridiculous waste of space in the phone. Wow. How ridiculous one can get.

Very similar comments were heard across the world wide web when the 36mp D800 rumours first surfaced.

I don't personally believe in Ray Kurzweil's predictions but one cannot just look over the fact that we use the current technology to develop the next technology and that trend is speeding up. To the point where it is noticeable.

I mean seriously, quad core 2.0 processors in cell phones by 2013 for sure......

Im really excited about this phone about the pictures being a bit soft i've heard that quite a few times elsewhere with people comparing the sample photos to the Nokia N8 (the previous camera phone king)

After reading more people noticing the soft images im wondering if i should get this phone at all :/

I've got a Nokia N8 (12mpx with 1/1.83" sensor) and have been eagerly awaiting this devices announcement but am slightly disappointed by the size of the sensor its 1/1.2" when it was rumored to have a full 1" sensor like the Nikon 1 devices

but this device is still a Prototype they'll likely make changes as they always do before release and after release


anyhow cant wait to see more from it

7k is not widely know and accepted to mean 7000. The "k" used in this context is a place holder for counting by thousands. The letter "k" when counting is an abbreviation for "kilo". Example: 7 km means 7 thousand meters. By saying 7k you really must finish with 7 kilo-something. Within the same context "C" means cento and "D" means decca. So, is then appropriate to butcher Nikon's D700 by calling it a D7C, or D70D ? Pretty silly, right?

D7000 as used by Nikon to designate one of their cameras is the "name" they have given it. The designation "D7K" appears no where on the camera or in any of the Nikon product details for that camera.

This whole "K" thing got out of hand when the media started with the "Y2K" crap. (Another rant over)
