SD card fine in camera but Windows says not formatted

My problem is similar to that on: http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/...a-phones/362614-camera-memory-card-error.html , however I did not get a format error message from the camera.

There are photos on it, approx 20 which I only took a few hours ago. Is there anyway of retrieving them. It is not the end of the world if it can't be helped but I was hoping to use these photos as a dry run for for another day. :thumbdown:

The card is a 16GB Sandisk Ultra Plus and I can review the photos just fine on DSLR, Nikon. I don't have another PC nor a card reader.

(FYI) I have just re tried the card whilst I was connected to the net and it works now so that's that :er:

Plug the camera with card into the computer. Some newer cards are not seen by older card readers. That might be your issue
