I am after some SD cards for my Nikon D7000.What type do you recommend and do any of you know the most cost effective source for them in the UK.

Thanks

Choose a quality brand name, cheap ones could fail and you'd lose your photos. You'll want class 10 cards for high performance, data transfer rate is key, I use 20mb/s cards and they seem to keep up pretty well with my D7000. I use 16Gb cards but some don't like high capacity because it tempts them to let the images pile up before moving them off card and that could be a problem should they fail, get lost, or are damaged but I don't seem to have that problem. No idea about sources in the UK.

If you are talking about SDHC, then get at least Class 6 card. I got mine Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card for $50 of Amazon.com and and very happy with it.

Sorry Netskimmer,

I did not see at first you mentioned Class thing. Yeah, higher Class is important. And you want to buy them from major stores OR reputable online sources...where you can return if something wrong.

Is the Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 Card 45MB/s 16GB compatible with the D7000. It says it is class one but is this a different rating system to the 2 4 6 8 and 10 class
