Hi. I was given an old Seal Jumbo 150 Dry Mount Press, in pieces, in a box. I have it all back together now except for the wiring in the on/off switch. The rest of the wiring was not disconnected. Could someone please tell me how to connect the three lines from the power cord and the two from the unit into the on/off switch. The three from the power cord are green, black and white, and the other two are both white cloth covered. I'd rather not burn the house down, being a little inept, in the electrical department. Thanks,
JSD

NOTE: THIS SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS INSTRUCTION. CONSULT SOMEONE WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE IN THESE MATTERS

I assume that this is a standard 120VAC, 60~ unit (as opposed to a 220VAC model). Does it have a plug that will fit into a regular house-hold wall outlet? Explaining this without actually seeing the unit is a bit dodgy. There's really no serious danger. The worst you can do is short the power to ground, which will trip a breaker, and maybe if you really mess up, give you a bit of a shock. Black is the 'hot', white the neutral, and green is ground. There are two ways that this can be wired: One is for a single-pole switch where the white wire from the power cord will be connected directly to one of the white wires in the unit (since it's a heating element, it won't matter which), and the black will be connected to one side of the switch, and the remaining white wire from the unit will be connected to the other side of the switch. The other method is where both black and white conductors from the power cord will be connected to different screws on one side of the switch and the two wires from the unit to the other side. In both bases the green wire will connect to a metal part of the unit somewhere (there's probably a screw somewhere nearby with no apparent purpose - it's the connection point fro the ground screw).

If you could post some clear shots of the unit showing the wires and switch, better guidance can be provided.
