Sekonic L-558R and radio syncs

I know that the L-558R has a built in transmitter, and the manual says that it is compatible with PocketWizards. Sadly I use Phottix recievers. Is the L-558R only compatible with PocketWizard technology?

The L-558R and for that matter all Sekonic radio trigger enabled meters are only compatible with PocketWizard triggers.
