The focus is the twig full of berries. I was playing around with settings in LR and accidently selectively colored the shot. I actually like the effect, but I can't tell if it's actually "good".

What is your opinion? Does it take away from the shot? Do anything for it at all? I value the feedback I get on this forum so please let me know if I'm being a fool :D

It's your image; if you like, than it's good. It doesn't do a lot for me, but that's purely subjective.

I always find selective coloring to be cheesy. Deshalb, I prefer the first shot.

1 for me as well.

I've been wondering, does selective desaturation got any potential? :)

It's actually what I used for this ;)

And after leaving the shot alone for a bit I think the full color looks better too. I corrected the hue so it was more akin to the original color of the pottery.

i kind of like it.....absract!

Was this editing done within your camera or on comp?

I would probably desaturate it leaving the berry saturated. The yellow is too strong in my opinion.

At first, I thought the first one was selectively colored (desaturated the berry). I am personally not a fan of selective coloring, and I also like the first photo, so I would say just keep the original.

Probably on a computer. I don't think that even advanced DSLR's have this ability

Actually my camera has special effects and it does selective color
