My first self portrait. I know not the prettiest of faces but how is all the post processing look?

I can only see a small version of the picture since I'm on my phone so here goes.

IMO - your skin is overdone and looks fake. Assuming you used reverse clarity or a blur filter or some other skin smoothing process. Skin smoothing is a great tool but the face still needs texture and it looks like there isn't much.

Processing skills don't really matter if the picture isn't very good technically. You have "raccoon eyes" and the eyes are the most important in a portrait. Your skin is too bright/wrong tone and your lips look purple. It looks like you might have used your flash as well which isn't flattering.

I would work on getting the image right SOOC and not worry about your processing skills as much.

You could probably fix the raccoon eyes in post processing though!

^^ What she said. Also, consider your background/surroundings. Right now, I look at this and think, "Facebook".

Probably shouldnt cut off the top of your head in a self portrait either.
