Self portrait in monochrome

I took this one last night. I used an Olympus E-510 with a Zuiko 50mm macro lens f/2.0. I used the monochrome setting in the camera.

why a non-standard aspect ratio?
why the empty space on the left?

3:2?

What aspect did you use in your red-lined example?

I used 4 x 5.
Use 2:3 or 4 x 5

other than standard, it gets expensive to mat & frame.

but it gets more complicated than that - if you want a further explanation, let me know.
