why don't u let the photo show in the thread instead of the link.. u can read about how u do that somewhere in the tpf home page..
the harsh flash made that shadow behind u which is i am not a fan of ..

To be direct and answer your question, I think the background is off-putting. Not all of it. From a different angle, with only one of the walls showing, this could be a better composition.

3. Centered subject
4. Deer in headlights
5. Distracting light to the left of your head
6. Large speck of dust on your sensor that is accentuated through use of a small aperture.

I could go on, but you probably just shot it that way on purpose.
