What's new

Selfie - Nailed it.

I see that you properly used the angle of incidence and did not get the reflection of the camera on the metal.

I'd personally soften the skin a little and saturated the lips to enhance them. ;)

You're a photographer, you can never have too much stuff, I say keep them both. :)

Of course, you could always send one of them to me. I'll PM you the address.

While true, the wife isn't fond of even one of those monsters set up in the office haha. What I might do, is take the money and trade it in for a Beauty Dish, that way, I'll have best of both worlds. BD would be easier to travel with too I think

or use as a long throw reflector, which is what it actually is haha.

I wonder how that reflector might work with a 20 degree honeycomb grid on it? I bet it would be pretty good. I really like Speedotron's standard 11.5-inch reflector, which is a 50-degree beam spread, with a 20 or 35 degree grid, and often times, a mylar diffuser or two on the front, as a hair or accent light, or even as a main light source. The grid adds one thing, but the frosted mylar diffusion in front of the grid changes the quality of the light quite a bit, and I think that long-throw is spec'd as a pretty narrow beam spread, in order to get the high GN on long throws.I bet you could modify its output a bit for portrait/people use and get some interesting light out of it.

Just sort of thinking out loud...
