Selfie

Okay Lew, here goes my c&c.

It's too dark, there's too much dead space, you need a fill reflector or flash, you need to burn a few spots and then dodge a few spots, clone out the leaves and remove that squiggly thing above your head.

Wait a minute, there needs to be more room in this picture, your thoughts are crowding this frame.

You should try HDR before converting it to b&w.

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for my REAL c&c: Nicely done I like it just as is.

Looks pretty sad and lonely, but they're only leaves... although I was thinking, you're supposed to blow the leaves out of the garage, not back in! LOL So snow packed and frozen here a leaf couldn't move if it tried.

From the number of comments and likes, it seems that people are pleased by pain and anguish as long as its someone else's. :smileys::smileys:

As for the 3 day ban, I was so angry about something that I knew couldn't restrain myself from popping off, so I asked Overread to ban me for 3 days so I could cool off.
It worked and I'm back to my even tempered, Gandhi-would-respect-my-calm self.

Looks pretty good. It's interesting, lots of clutter and the leaves give the eye plenty to look at. I didn't see the ban, missed that totally, but we all know, that thick, tough skullcap of yourn' is no match for any mere mortal ban-hammer!

My first thought was there sits someone who had a day just like mine. If it wasn't so cold here I'd go sit in the garage for awhile too. Well done

I've just seen this and I like what I've just seen

form the number of comments you got, you simply must take selfies more often

Thanks for the likes and the comments.

I don't like, and very rarely take, shots that are posed to make a point, they seem to me as fake.
But, just as an actor uses his own experience, I tried to use mine to make a shot that demonstrated how I was feeling at that very moment without specifically being about me.
So I backed off, got the scene in the shot and the exposure the way I wanted and then hopped in.
Except for increasing the contrast and bringing the black point up, this was sooc.

The interesting thing is that working on the shot enabled me to put the feelings away for a good while.
