Well, it's obviously last minute for senior portraits here in Utah! I usually get a big rush in the fall, and an even bigger rush in the spring when the seniors realize that graduation is weeks away and they still haven't had their pics done! I've booked on average 2 seniors a day! So, I'll start posting as I get them. This is my first senior who wanted a truck and motorcyle in his pics. I was so excited to have something to mix it up a little!

a little PP that I don't usually do. I desaturated, and added a texture layer masking it away from his face and arms . . . still up in the air about it. It's obviously not going to be the pic that's blown up 30x30 on his bedroom wall, so I felt a little freedom in playing around with it.

his storyboard - the black represents the actual size of the frame mom's already bought from me for it!

I really like 5, 7, and 10. They just seem more natural color wise.

Great job though. How on earth have you found nice weather in Utah. I thought you were getting the crap we were sending you from Idaho. :)

Is that whose to blame for this crappy weather? One day it 80 degrees and we all get sunburned, the next day its 30 degrees and I have two portrait sessions reschedule for weather.

The colors are pushed a little, I didn't want it to look like a dried up old field (which is was!) I was hoping to call is SPUNKY????

Yep I bet it is us that is to blame. We had 70* weather and then we went to 30's and snow.. What the heck! We even had snow today!

you had snow today!? Holy cow, when is enough enough already? Our last snow storm was Saturday, but it is sunny and 60 degrees today. Supposed to be yucky again tomorow though!

Any big tractor pulls coming up?

#1 - Its too far away from him and its crooked, I'd ditch this one.

#2 - Crooked and highlights look a little too hot. Truck is almost blown out. And its a little bit too much contrast.

#3 - Dont really like this picture. Its just not up to the quality of the others. I'd ditch this as well.

#4 - I wouldve had him on or near the bike. Right now it looks like the bike is the focus. I wouldve also tried to get the entire bike in the shot.

#5 - Exposure looks good, just dont like how far away he is.

#6 - This ones nice, but the lighting is a bit harsh

#7 - This ones good

#8, #9, #10 - The grunginess doesnt really add anything to these.

#11 - I personally think things like this are a bit cheesy, but I guess its whatever makes the customer happy and lands you some money.

Yes we had snow a week ago. Go figure.

Tractor pulls start in June. June 13 is a tractor pull in Burley, and then we go on from there. We have to fix both trucks before we can pull though. So busy busy. :er:
