Sensor size limits

Do you believe that this year smartphones showed as the maximum sensor size they can integrate in? 1" diagonal? Or you think we may see bigger sensors in the future? And if one inch is the upper limit do you believe we will see a proper phone to take advantage of the whole surface of such a sensor?

Bigger sensors mean bigger lenses there's no way around those physics.

At this point, technique and cost are the main brakes on that development.
The actual upper limit is at 100,000 px. An array of these can bring it up to
zillions px… but at what cost? Who would seriously buy a zillion px sensor?

On top of the already mentioned lens size issue, think of the computing po-
wer to support it both in camera and on the computer… not there yet.
