Service price for 350d

Hello all,
I've just been given a price for service and repair of my err 99 problem..

Does £162 sound reasonable or can you get it cheaper than that??

I have no idea...but I don't know who would repair it, other than at a Canon Service Centre...so I'd guess you are out of luck.

That's rough, given that used 350Ds are selling used for under $500 USD in at least some cases (maybe most cases). They must really put a lot of effort into setting up those price points so that you end up tossing and turning all night about whether you should fix it or get a new one.
