Very nice. Are the layers all from the same spot - ie. you waited while the sky changed around you. Or did you wander around snapping the sunset and then added 4 selected skies to your main subject?

all 5 shots were taken from the same spot about 2 minutes apart from each other

Thanks for the explanation - you've given me another photoshop skill to learn now! I've only just learnt how to remove dust spots using the clone tool, so it will be a while.
