Consider buying used or refurbished. You can save around 20%. Check out this refurbished 3400 plus 18-55 kit from Cameta for $379. Their refurbs include a 1 year warranty and I have used them several times for used gear. When I bought my refurb 7100 it had less than 200 shutter clicks and was pretty much brand new. It's an expensive hobby, you need to save wherever you can.
